Aquis Hair Towels and Turbans for Curly/Wavy Hair 2024.
Curly Girl Basics…..
One of the first things I started with when commencing my curly girl journey was using an Aquis hair towel. Previously I had always used a regular large fluffy bath towel and wrapped it in a turban style on top of my hair. Super awkward and used to make my neck ache due to the weight. I couldn’t wait to get it off and then I would unwrap a frizzy mass of damp wavy hair, not a good look. When I discovered the Aquis hair towel I wasn’t really sure what the difference was, but once I tried it I was an immediate convert.
Firstly, its super lightweight so no neck ache, secondly it easily wraps my long hair without any of it hanging out of the end, thirdly it helps my hair to dry a lot quicker (normally it takes forever) and lastly I hardly have any frizz when the towel is removed. The Aquis hair towel cuts my drying time on average in half, which for me is a real time saver on my wash days.
Why Use An Aquis Hair Towel?
As we all know, your hair is at it’s weakest when wet. Thats why you have to be extra careful to protect it whilst drying. Also, electric dryers and heated tools also dry out our hair and cause more breakage so reducing the use of these is key for keeping curly and wavy looking healthy and less frizzy. The Aquis hair towels are made from an absorbent micro-fiber fabric that reduces frizz and protects your hair whist drying. They also look great and it’s sometimes tempting to go to the supermarket with my hair in a turban. I own a few of the towels and wash them very frequently.
How To Use My Aquis Hair Towel
Sometimes I like to leave my hair styling product free and just let it dry in it’s natural way so I add the Aquis hair towel right after I have finished washing it. And sometimes I apply my styling products first and then put on the Aquis hair towel and leave until about 50% dry and then diffuse my hair on a low heat the rest of the way. The towel also helps stop any hair styling products from getting on my skin and causing blemishes.
I hope you try one of these lovely hair towels and stop using bath towels like me!
