Innersense Organic Beauty Curly And Wavy Hair Products 2024.
Beginning My Curly Girl Journey.
Innersense Organic Beauty hair products have been on my radar for a while now with their organic and non-toxic hair care range. When I found out there was a curly hair salon nearby that stocked the products I decided to finally check them out. I started by doing the Innsersense Organic Beauty 14 Day Detox #14daydetox with the products which best suit my hair type. I only recently actually decided to find out my hair type when starting the curly girl method around a month ago. I currently have mostly a mix of type 2B and 2C waves/curls (though some of my waves are slowly starting to change into curls) with low porosity and medium density. My hair was seriously dry and damaged at the ends prior to starting the curly girl method so I needed some damage rescue desperately. I selected the products best suited to my hair type.
My Innersense Organic Beauty Curly/Wavy Hair Routine:
Step 1. Cleanse.
I wash my hair typically twice a week. Firstly I wash my scalp with the Innersense Organic Beauty Hydrating Cream Hairbath. I use about a 2 Euro size amount and distribute it through the front back and sides of my scalp. I then use my fingers in a forwards/backwards motion to rub it into my scalp, this Innersense Organic Beauty Hydrating Cream Hairbath does foam and give a nice clean feeling without leaving my hair feeling dry. I avoid circular motion as it can create knots in my hair. I do this for about 5 mins until all of my scalp has been massaged. I then apply small amount of warm water and let the product run down the lengths of my hair while gently separating it with my fingers.
Step 2. Conditioner.
Once the Innersense Organic Beauty Hydrating Cream Hairbath is fully rinsed out I apply the Innersense Organic Beauty Hydrating Cream Conditioner (key ingredients: avocado, aloe vera, flax seed, cacao butter, dandelion, rice bran and shea butter). Again, I use around a 2 Euro amount and split in in half an apply from the base of my skull down the lengths in a smoothing motion. Once most of the product has left my hands I run my fingers through the hair closer to my scalp. I then finish detangling and smoothing my curls. I leave the Innersense Organic Beauty Hydrating Cream Conditioner in for around 10 mins whilst doing other things like shaving and exfoliating in the shower. When I am ready to rinse the Innersense Organic Beauty Hydrating Cream Conditioner out I turn the shower to luke warm or a little colder and rinse out well. Once a month I will apply the Innersense Organic Beauty Hydrating Hair Mask and leave it on for around 30 mins with a shower cap and warm towel on my head for a deep conditioning treatment (fully rinsed out after).
Step 3. Styling.
Once my hair is cleaned and conditioned I step out of the shower to add my styling products. I do this over a bowl so I can catch any product that drips off and pour it back over my hair. It’s amazing how much product is wasted when not doing this. I’ve found that it’s best for me to apply my product when my hair is still dripping wet. First I apply a small amount of the Innersense Organic Beauty Sweet Spirit Leave-In Conditioner, (key ingredients: tamanu, rosemary, rooibos tea, rice and soy protein) only a small amount because my hair easily looks greasy and weighed down (so less waves/curls) if I use too much. Really it’s just for smoothing a little of the frizz. Then I apply a small amount of the Innersense Organic Beauty I Create Lift Volumizing Foam to my roots to give a little lift and followed by three 2 Euro Sized amounts of the Innersense Organic Beauty I Create Volume and smooth each one over either the sides or back of my hair avoiding the root area.
Step 4. Finish.
Drying… I actually prefer to let my hair air dry and as I am new to the curly girl method it’s actually recommended for the first 6 months not to use any heat stylers at all. I do have a diffuser which I use occasionally but I find it can create a lot of frizz around my head ( time for a new hairdryer as it is not the best). My air dry time is around 4 hours to be fully dry, diffuser takes around an hour. I would love at some point to try the Innersense Organic Beauty Harmonic Healing Oil but I don’t think it’s for sale in the EU yet. Also the Innersense Organic Beauty I Create Finish for when styling my hair for an event or photoshoot and the Innersense Organic Beauty Quiet Calm Curl Control to see if it can help tame my frizz. Those will be on my next shopping list!
Innersense Organic Beauty Review.
After using the Innersense Organic Beauty products for over two weeks now, I am very happy with the results. Also the fact that they are rated 0 on the Think Dirty App makes a big difference to me as I want my products to be as clean and non-toxic as possible. My scalp feels really clean and no flaking, my hair also has lots of volume and after a month of the curly girl method I am starting to see some of my waves turning into curls! I didn’t expect to see results this quickly to be honest. The ingredients used are so clean and include many beneficial ingredients such as aloe vera, avocado oil, cocoa seed oil and cranberry seed oil. All the products smell amazing and are free from artificial scents. I can’t quite choose which one smells the best yet. In the picture above my hair was air dried naturally rather than diffused so shows a softer look.
Here’s what you can count on in Innersense Organic Beauty formulations:
Ingredients straight from nature, grown organically and sustainably without chemicals. Ethically harvested and sourced from trusted, transparent plantations, orchards and farms from around the world.
Formulated through conscious chemistry; cold-pressed, distilled or otherwise processed without synthetics to preserve purity.
Formulated free of phthalates, ethoxylates, sulfates, silicones, 1,4 dioxane, parabens, petro compounds, propylene and butylene glycol, PEG, MEA, TEA, MIA, EDTA artificial dyes or synthetic fragrances.
High concentrations of key ingredients mean less water.
Gluten-free, cruelty-free and non-GMO.
For my vegan friends, the Innersense Organic Beauty range is not vegan as they use honey and beeswax, however they do not test on animals and do their upmost to make sure their ingredients are sourced responsibly and in a sustainable way. One thing I’m not quite sure of is what and the bottles are made from. Will have to investigate this further.
