Plume Science Lash And Brow Enhancing Serum And Brow Pomade.
Why I started Using A Natural Lash and Brow Serum.
Well, over the years I think my eyelashes have probably suffered a bit. From using eyelash curlers to getting them tinted and wearing mascara most days (well any day I actually leave the house). These days everyone seems to have eyelash extensions, but I've never thought they looked that natural. So I thought I should look after my natural lashes a bit better. I've never been interested in trying the pharmaceutical eyelash serums that are supposed to improve the length and thickness of our eyelashes and eyebrows (luckily I never over-plucked mine as was the 90's trend when I was growing up). The side effects and ingredients of these beauty products are not so appealing, personally I'd rather have short thinning eyelashes and eyebrows than have my eyes change colour, skin pigmentation around the eyes or red and itchy eyes. Most eyelash enhancing serums on the market have not been FDA approved which is a concern as anything put near the eyes can also enter the eye and enter your blood stream very easily and quickly. After suffering these side effects herself from pharmaceutical products, Lauren Bilon decided to create her own natural version called Plume Science Lash and Brow Enhancing Serum.
About Plume Science.
I've been seeing Plume Science Lash and Brow Enhancing Serum around on the green beauty scene for a while and thought I would give it a try. I used it only on my eyelash line (not my brows as well) and found after a couple of months I was getting complimented on the length of my eyelashes and getting asked if they were my own. So I think they must be looking pretty good! I do not do the whole before/after pictures as I it's really hard to take the picture in the same light conditions, the same distance from the camera etc.... but I think it seems to work! You have to be committed to applying it regularly (once a day for me at night after cleansing my face, but you can do morning and evening). I've have friends and clients who have suffered hair loss during and after giving birth and think it may be a nice natural way to give your eyelashes a boost if you have noticed a change in your length and thickness. I'm going to recommend to a friend of mine who is currently suffering with thinning eyelashes and see how she finds it. The serum is said to improve your lashes and brows in the following three ways:
Longer - Keeps hair follicles in a prolonged growth phase, allowing lashes and brows to achieve greater length.
Thicker - Locks in keratin, moisture, and key nutrients to increase hair volume, thickening and strengthening lashes and brows at the root.
Fuller - Protects delicate hairs from environmental harm and breakage to keep more lash and brow hairs in place.

PLUME NOURISH & DEFINE BROW POMADE.
More recently Plume Science have brought out a Nourish and Define Brow Pomade to not only colour your brows but also to help stimulate growth and healthy eyebrows. I tend to colour my eyebrows with either a pencil or eyebrow wax but its hard to find a good natural non-toxic one that suits my colouring (redhead problems). Plume Science are also in the process of making a tint specifically for redheads so keep your eyes open for the new colour! The pomade promotes the growth of your brows while adding definition and color to your best feature. Currently available in five, smudge-proof shades. 100% natural, vegan, cruelty-free.Their long-wearing formula has a three-part effect on the appearance of your brows:
Sculpt - Pigment-rich formula that provides professional level results for flawless shape and definition.
Fill - Active ingredients from our award-winning serum promote brow fullness and density.
Nourish - Antioxidants and moisture-rich nutrients condition the skin and hair along the brows.
How to apply the Nourish and Define Brow Pomade.
Plume Nourish & Define Brow Pomade is best applied with the Plume Science angled brow brush which comes with the pomade when you purchase it. The Plume Nourish & Define Brow Pomade comes in six different shades: Golden Silk, Autumn Sunset, Ashy Daybreak, Chestnut Decadence, Cinnamon Cashmere and Endless midnight. I use the one made specifically for redheads, Autumn Sunset. If you need help choosing your colour then it’s best to take a look at the Plume Science Instagram account to help match your hair colour with a pomade.
Dip: To ensure even application, dip brush into the pot and swipe against skin or inside of cap to remove excess.
Apply: Apply to brows with the angled brow brush - a little goes a long way.
Blend: After applying color, use the spooley end to blend the color into brows.
Pro Tips:
Shape your brows - find the ideal start of your brows by placing a brush along the side of your nose.
Angle the brush from the outside of your nose to the outer corner of your eye to find where your brows should naturally end.
The highest point of the arch should line up with the outside edge of the iris.
