Dr. Alkaitis Organic Skincare Products For Sensitive Skin.
I have decided to start writing about some of my favourite natural beauty products, with a new one featured each month. I had to start off with my overall favourite at the moment, the Dr. Alkaitis Organic Ageless Facial Elixir. This is a product that I use on a regular basis with my clients and love the results. It does happen to be the most expensive skin product that I use but I feel it is totally worth the money you pay, it's all about quality! Also only a small amount is needed a couple of times a week, rather than it necessarily being used daily.
Dr. Alkaitis has a saying, 'If you can't eat it, don't put it on your skin', some words to live by I think! The Elixir is 'Raw', which means none of the ingredients have been heated above body temperature, and is made with edible ingredients from various herbs, fruits, sea vegetables, virgin cold pressed plant oils and 100% pure essential oils. What's not to like about that? The Dr. Alkaitis products are all hand manufactured in small batches in California, USA.
The Elixir can be used on all skin types and its benefits include: supporting cell renewal, strengthening the skins natural barrier, moisturises and nourishes the skin, refines pores and smoothens the skins surface. Only a couple of drops of the elixir are needed per application and should be massaged well into the skin. I prefer to apply in the evening after cleansing my skin in order to give it a few hours to absorb before going to bed.
One of the things l like the most about this product is the vast blend of plant based oils used to create the Organic Ageless Facial Elixir including some of my favourite plants and herbs. Here is a look at the full ingredients list:
A holistic intermingling of Dr. Alkaitis’ Skin Renewing and Rejuvenating Organic Oil Complex (a blend of virgin cold-pressed andiroba*, buriti*, pequi*, marula*, ximenia*, pracaxi*, copaiba*, maracuja*, acai*, jojoba*, sacha inchi* and tamanu* oils); Dr. Alkaitis’ Skin Youth-Enhancing Organic Herbal Complex (made up of organic shatavari*, ashwaganda*, dhatrik*, black musli*, red sage*, gotu kola*, hawthorne*, rosehips*, arjuna*, vacha*, wakameº, saffron*, tulsi*, rosemary*, bala*, seabuckthorn*, kombuº, neem*, codonopsis*, manjista*, turmeric*, ginseng*, echinacea* and lemon balm*); full spectrum natural non-GMO vitamin E complex (D- alpha, beta, gamma, delta tocopherols and tocotrienols); and a blend of 100% pure essential oils.
As you can see, nothing nasty in there! The Dr. Alkaitis Organic Ageless Facial Elixir has an earthy natural smell which can take some getting used to, but I love it!
