Les Cocottes de Christian Constant - Le Tour Eiffel, Paris.
About Les Cocottes de Christian Constant.
I was in Paris for the first time for work and only had one day to manage any sightseeing, so I managed to squeeze a few things in. In between walking from the Eiffel Tower to Le Louvre, myself and my friend stumbled upon this lovely little restaurant. We were not in any way expecting the delightful meal we were about to consume. Les Cocottes is the new bistro by French celebrity chef Christian Constant. Even though they have a no reservations policy, we were seated quickly at the only empty table. The service was typically French, not overly friendly to the basic French speaking tourists but efficient. Most the other guests seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists who were probably a bit more organised with picking restaurant locations than us.
The food served is classic French cuisine and most dishes come served in Staub cast iron pots (hence being called Les Cocottes). The menu choices are limited but there are also some daily specials available, as well as seasonal cocktails.
Starters consist mainly of salads and soups served in jars and mains like pigeon or pigs feet (see main photo) to tempt your taste buds. You can even buy one of the Staub cast iron dishes to take home with you, alongside Christian Constants latest cook book. The food was delicious and we were pleased with the quick service as we had lots more to see in Paris that day!
I'm currently planning my next trip back to Paris, and I hope to visit one of Christian Constant's other locations on my next visit! If you have any other Paris food recommendations for me please leave a comment below!
